I am a stay at home father of 10 and know how easy it is to say "no". Whether it is basketball or ice cream, the word "no" just comes out too fast sometimes. I made it a point to stock up on popsicles for the summer just so I could say "yes" a little more. We are making the 20 hour drive to Florida as part of my "yes" excercises. Your kids see and feel the effort you put into something and it affects them on a personal level. Great post, thank you.
